Paul e Jessie hanno un bambino di 8 anni, Adam. Un giorno il piccolo rimane ucciso durante un incidente. I genitori non riescono a farsene una ragione. Decidono così di rivolgersi a un medico che opera illegalmente nelle clinica “The Godsend Institution” e promette loro di poter clonare un bambino a immagine e somiglianza del piccolo Adam, prelevando il DNA dal suo cadavere…
