Amy è una giovane scultrice amante di un odioso miliardario che vuole trasformare un vecchio edificio di Chicago nella sede della sua fondazione. Oscar e Peter, amici e architetti, concorrono all\’appalto ma la concorrenza è agguerrita. Le cose si complicano quando il miliardario, geloso della sua amante, credendo Oscar un gay, gli chiede di sorvegliarla.Tra i due nasce una forte simpatia e Oscar è tormentato tra la necessità di ottenere il contratto e l’amore per Amy.
